Himesh… He has become a Star in just few months though he was there in the field from few years in Bollywood. Now everyone is a fan of him. He is popular because of his unique “NASAL EFFECT” which gives a different feeling to a song.
Initially he started his career as a Music Composer and got recognition from “Pyar kiya to darna kya” in which he was recommended by Salman Khan. From then onwards Salman-Himesh became a pair. Himesh composed music in almost every film acted by Salman Khan.

One thing I like about him is his ability to compose both Soft melodius songs like in Kyun Ki, Footpath etc and also Peppy tracks like Nikamma kiya is dil ne (Kyaa dil ne kaha) ,�‚ and songs that make you pumped up like Jhalak Dikhlaja, romantic song like “Tera Surroor”.
He has now reached the top position in the race of Composers in Bollywood. Recently in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye film, which is composed by Anu Malik had 12 songs in which none of them became a hit. So producers gave a guest composition to Himesh. He composed and sung only a single song “Tum Saanson mein” which became a HIT which 12 songs of Anu Malik couldnt do. Himesh’s song are in three versions- Original, Remix, Unplugged. This directly shows how Popular he is.
Usually Himesh has a trend of releasing of two other versions (Remix, Unplugged) of a song if he thinks its going to be a hit. In remix version as usual tempo of the song will be increased with extra DJ -ing. In unplugged version the tempo remains same but only background music is changed.But now-a-days I am not satisfied with remixes made for his songs which are usually done by DJ Akbar Sami. Only the tempo is incresed with a beat which sounds same in all Himesh Song’s remixes. Recently released “Aashiqui mein Teri” remix (Film: 36Chinatown) again by DJ Akbar Sami is pathetic. Tempo is increased beyond requirement and it sounds very irritating while the Original Song by Himesh rocks!!
He started his singing career with “Aashiq Banaaya apne” movie singing two songs, the title song and “Aap ki Kashish” which boosted his career like anything and within few days his song was topping all charts.Then came his hit-bombs( as a singer) one after the other, Jhalak Dikhlaja where his NASAL USAGE during singing reached to ultimate level, Tera Surroor which is his Debut POP album, Jhoom Jhoom which is from “Tom Dick and Harry”.Now he sings in almost all albums composed by him. Himesh is very talented composer and knows which songs to pick and which song becomes hit if HIMESH SINGS. His voice is not suited for all kind of songs. He is best suited for songs which are high pitched/medium pitched but not for Soft songs. He gives the songs a unique kind of feeling that no other singer can give if they sing the same song (take Aashiq Banaaya Apne for this).
While he is at his peak of the Career he released his debut pop album “Tera Surroor” which became again a hit as usual. I liked the Tera Surroor song very much especially because of correct usage of Piano and Guitar at the perfect time which perfectly blends with the song flow. Another song is “Samjho na” which is a typical Himesh Song. Rest of the song are not that good to be called as hit. There are some Sufi songs too which I dint liked much as that music was NOT of MY TYPE. Of all songs from the album only these too songs hold you to listen to the album.Again the Tera Surroor Remix version is not good.
I first saw him in SAREGAMPA challenge on ZeeTV where he was one of the Judge. He was having a little bit long hair which came over his eyes and had no moustache. He changed his style in the remix version of Aashiq Banaaya apne and started wearing Hat. Then in future songs HAT became like a Trade Mark for him.He growed beard and moustache and from his Debut Album Tera Surroor, Hat, Moustache,Beard represented HIMESH RESHAMMIYA. Till now he hasnt changed the style. I usually observe the different type of hats he wear in his each song.Now if you say Himesh Reshammiya then a guy wearing Hat with moustache and beard with sad mood/serious face comes into mind.
